These days I'm living on a steady diet of Five For Fighting - I think John Ondrasik is brilliant and love the range and sensitivity of his voice and his lyrics.

All time favorite - Joni Mitchell - Court and Spark

great question...
Checked the pod play list and here's what's on top
1. Willy Porter willyporter.com [willyporter.com]
2. Lyle Lovett
3. Shawn Colvin
4. Colin Hay
Thanks for your tips!

I checked out John Ondrasik....interesting I don't like to compair, he seems like a mix between Shawn Mullins and Dave Matthews BUT I only sampled 4 songs....plus, I'm an idiot.

Currently listening to John Frusciante. I love everything he's done from 'To Record Only Water for Ten Days' onwards - and there's plenty of it to listen to!

Also listening to:
Robert Wyatt (Shleep and Cuckooland in particular)
Mark Lanegan
Baxter Dury (Len Parrot's Memorial Lift)

I'm like SO old. Of the singers/songwriters y'all have mentioned here, I've only heard of Five for Fighting ("100 Years" is one of the most wonderful songs I've ever heard) and Joni Mitchell. I'm still listening to Jim Croce, & Billy Joel, & Kris Kristofferson and Paul Simon. And Paul Williams when I'm feeling a little schmaltzy.

To Pixel Pig...
Re: "would you believe I tuned a piano for Paul Williams?"
I believe you and I would like to hear more of that anecdote if you feel like sharing. Mostly I've heard that in person he's kind and funny and friendly and very down-to-earth.

P.S. I forgot to mention Marc Cohn, singer/songwriter of "Walking in Memphis" a truly great song (imo)
