All time favorite - Joni Mitchell - Court and Spark |

Also listening to:
Robert Wyatt (Shleep and Cuckooland in particular)
Mark Lanegan
Baxter Dury (Len Parrot's Memorial Lift) |

Of the singers/songwriters y'all have mentioned here, I've only heard of Five for Fighting ("100 Years" is one of the most wonderful songs I've ever heard) and Joni Mitchell. I'm still listening to Jim Croce, & Billy Joel, & Kris Kristofferson and Paul Simon. And Paul Williams when I'm feeling a little schmaltzy. |

Re: "would you believe I tuned a piano for Paul Williams?"
I believe you and I would like to hear more of that anecdote if you feel like sharing. Mostly I've heard that in person he's kind and funny and friendly and very down-to-earth.
P.S. I forgot to mention Marc Cohn, singer/songwriter of "Walking in Memphis" a truly great song (imo) |
